The beginning and end of the training journey
It takes about two years to turn a puppy into an Assistance Dog. The beginning and end of the training journey are precious times in the puppies’ lives. This is what both look like. At six weeks old, puppies become old enough to put their training jackets for the first time. Here, this gorgeous litter posed up a storm. We think you’ll agree that they look very smart in their jackets:
Our older dogs in Advanced Training at the National Training School learn new skills and get plenty of downtime too. In the video below, you can see Tallie using her nose to press buttons or push doors closed, which is helpful for someone who has limited mobility.
